9/1/2021
CFMC is excited to announce the opening of their 150th location. Promise Community Health Center n Monticello officially opened on August 23, 2021. Maggie Root, APRN, Tina Thrasher, APRN, PMHNP-BC, and behavioral health services providers Cindy Dishman, LCSW, and Kenneth Amburgey, LPCA, welcome current and new patients at their new location at 1025 South Main Street in Monticello.
Providing Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorders, Promise Community Health Center also specializes in treating children and adults for behavioral and psychiatric conditions such as ADHD, major depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and more.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) combines behavioral therapy and medication to treat substance use disorders. A combination of approaches (medications, counseling, and health care for physical and psychological symptoms) is used during appropriate periods of time to suit each individual’s needs and the severity of the problem at different stages of recovery. Our team is dedicated to improving quality of life and helping individuals achieve long term recovery from addiction.
CFMC has grown from 13 employees and two clinics in 2007 to over 780 employees and 151 locations in 2021. This growth illustrates our mission to continually strive to address health care barriers, disparities, and chronic need throughout our service area. The commitment of our Board of Directors is certainly to be commended as they work with our leadership team to provide direction for CFMC into the future.
